The ocean seems endless, scientists continue to discover more and more species of fish. Some of them are touching, while others are terrifying. And if we already wrote about the most beautiful fish once, today we want to talk specifically about the most terrible fish in the world.
We picked up a few fish with such a terrifying look that, after reading our article, you will think several times before climbing into the water. Of course, some of the fish on the list are found in small areas, but the ocean has no boundaries, and its depth has not been explored, who knows what else you may encounter. Already scared? We consolidate the success and, finally, show these monsters.

Lionfish
In English, the name of this fish sounds more poetic (lion fish), but this does not add to its beauty. Lionfish is a wild-looking creature with many spikes and trinkets. By and large, this is not the worst fish, the contrasting color adds a little appeal to the lionfish. It includes several species that differ in habitat and size. A common feature of lionfish is their toxicity. They live in the waters of the Pacific and Indian oceans, swimming closer to the ground, where it is easier for them to hunt small fish. The maximum length of the lionfish is approximately 38 cm. To prove the relative beauty of the lionfish, it is said to be popular as an aquarium fish. But you should not lose vigilance, because you can die from an injection with a spike of a lion fish.

Placoderm
This species of fish should not be afraid, since they have died out long ago. Placoderma is also known as shellfish or plate-skinned fish. The second option will be more correct, since the plates covering their head and part of the body were not horny, but skin. Placoderms lived not only in sea, but also in river water, terrifying all inhabitants of water bodies. The maximum length of one of the species of plate-skinned fish reached 10 meters.

Pufferfish
This fish has enough spikes to terrify anyone. Imagine a porcupine under water, and think, would you like to approach it and stroke it “against the coat”? As soon as these underwater creatures were not called, one of the most colorful names is fish-dogs. They are common not only in saline, but also in fresh water. They live around the world in tropical and subtropical latitudes.
Most species of pufferfish are poisonous; when they are eaten, a person runs the risk of dying in terrible agony. But this does not stop the Japanese, because the puffer dish is made from four-tooth fish (another name for “beauties”). As for the freshwater representatives of pufferfish, they are of great value for aquarists hunting for them in the waters of the Nile, Amazon, Congo and other tropical reservoirs.

Vampire fish
Vampire fish is the generic name for three fish species: a mackerel-shaped hydrolytic, a lampreys, and a vandella. Their teeth will make you swim at the speed of light, not only through water, but also by land. Just imagine, payara (the second name of a mackerel-like hydrolysis) eats piranhas! She lives in the waters of the Amazon and has massive teeth that help her not only hunt, but also fight off fishermen. The length of the solder can reach 120 cm with a weight of more than 17 kg.

As for the mine-like, they have several rows of teeth arranged in a circle. These cute creatures stick to larger fish, gnawing at their skin, and begin to systematically suck out blood.
And finally, baby Vandellia, whose size often corresponds to an ordinary match. She swims in the gills of fish, spreads her spines and drinks blood. Also, vandellia can "visit" the genitals of a person, it is almost impossible to get fish without the intervention of a surgeon.

Stargazer
The second name of these fish is sea bugs. Their terrible features are largely explained by the way of life. Stargazers are active in the dark, and during the day burrow into the sand, leaving only their mouth and eyes on the surface to see prey and be able to grab it. Usually live in the seas and warm waters of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. Sometimes found in estuaries flowing into the seas. Sea bugs are not only scary fish, but also poisonous. They have a spike secreting poisonous glands, although some scientists question this conjecture. They can also give electric current charges of up to 50V.
By the way, on our site most-beauty.ru you can also look at amazing marine life, so similar to alien creatures.

Clown
Do not confuse clown fish with clown fish. The latter is a beautiful fish, known to us from the animated film “Finding Nemo”. The first, also known as the “frog fish,” is an ugly creature with many frightening processes. The clown family often lives in the warm waters of the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic oceans, descending to a depth of 300 meters. The maximum size of the frog fish reaches 40 cm, with a minimum of 5 centimeters. It feeds on invertebrates or other fish, masking itself due to its unusual color.
4
Coffin fish
The coffin fish lives at the bottom, sometimes descending to a depth of 2.5 km. It often has a pinkish or red color, and the spherical shape of the body is shocking even experienced divers. The body of the “beauty” is covered with small spikes, and among her skills it is worth mentioning the ability to quickly let out air, significantly decreasing in size. Interestingly, the coffin fish practically does not swim; instead, it “crawls” along the ground, moving with the help of the ventral fins. This species of sea creatures grows up to 30 cm, eating smaller fish.
3
Asian Sheep Head
The head of this fish is so massive that it seems that it can knock you out with one blow. She lives up to her name, living in the territorial waters of Japan and two Koreas. The head and jaw of the fish has growths that look like "bumps" from the blows. It is noteworthy that young individuals of the gubanas are pretty cute, and they become sheep-headed only in adulthood. Unfortunately, this species of fish is poorly studied. It is known that they feed on crustaceans, and the life expectancy of Asian sheep-headed lips is more than a dozen years. They live near coral reefs, as well as in shallow areas. Gubans have one peculiarity, they change their gender several times during their lives, although this certainly does not add to their beauty.

Black-headed shark
Scientists managed to make videos of the fiery shark, whose appearance resembles creatures of the prehistoric period. This relict species is extremely rare, and therefore practically unstudied. The lacquer terrifies one of his appearance, but there is good news, he lives so deeply that you can hardly meet him. You will be very lucky if you see a dead individual "drifting" at a shallower depth. The structure of the jaw’s jaw is of genuine interest, it can open its mouth so much that it will capture the victim, whose length is 50% of the length of the cladder. The disadvantage of this type is poor maneuverability and relatively low speed. Nevertheless, scientists still can not understand how such a slow shark can hunt for faster fish and squid.
On our site most-beauty.ru a separate article is devoted to the most beautiful species of sharks.

Drop fish
In the first place we placed the crown of creation, a fish-drop. It is so ugly that it gets scary. Drop fish live in a limited region near Tasmania and Australia, being on the verge of extinction. It is very strange, because with such an appearance they are obliged to enslave the entire water world. The threat of extinction loomed over Psychrolutes marcidus due to fishermen striving to admire fish on the surface. The process on the face of the fish is similar to the human nose, and its body, reminiscent of jelly, is due to the habitat and the absence of a swimming bladder. A drop fish practically does not swim, it just lies in one place with its mouth open in the hope that the prey itself will sail under her nose. Another interesting fact is the similarity of drop fish with a brood hen. Having laid eggs, she does not swim away anywhere, but hatches them until the offspring “hatch”.
